KINGS Artist-Run is a contemporary arts organisation supporting a range of artists, writers and performers in the early stages of their careers. KINGS was originally formed as a gallery to exhibit experimental video work on King Street in Melbourne in 2003 by Annie Wilson, Frank Guarino, Marcel Cousins, Brendan Lee and Brie Trennery, and continues to be communally driven by a collective of artists, writers, curators and academics. KINGS program encompasses a range of distinct experimental performances, publishing initiatives and exhibitions. These include a range of projects presented across various venues throughout Melbourne and online in which artists, collectives and curators are provided with an opportunity to form new work.
